Cuts in Federal govt spending forces me to get "fixy"

Mi Problema

Smart card on an expensive mass spectrometer got toasted during a botched firmware install. My lab couldn't afford the 4000.00 dollar service call from the company so I had to replace the 1040.00 dollar board myself.

Mi Solución

Went smoothly, didn't have to worry about not having the proper tool to remove the tamper-proof torx or electrostatic charge destroying the boards.

Mi Consejo

There are actually two boards in the device, snugged in there with a 32pin connector. You have to remove both to replace one.
