First iPhone Repair

Mi Problema

Co-worker's daughter broke her iphone 5 screen.

Mi Solución

The repair took about 45 minutes for the first time following the guide. I couldn't use a suction cup because the screen was so badly broken, but I didn't have much trouble prying it open with a metal spudger (Worked WAY better than the plastic ones...all they do is break.) Other than that, the guide covers pretty much everything.

Mi Consejo

The only spot I got caught up on was the two circular contacts coming off of the home button. I wish I had known they were directly glued to the phone and not attached in any other way. I was able to pry them up after a quick shot from my heat gun. I don't think they were coming up, without breaking, otherwise.
