I originally bought an iPhone 4 battery through our national auction site - installed it - and then had the phone constantly reboot itself. Back to the original battery.

Bought ANOTHER iPhone battery through the same site (this one supposedly a "genuine" Apple battery) - installed it - and ... it wouldn't charge above 72%. Back to the original battery. Seller said "we haven't had any others reported faulty, so you must have damaged the phone installing it" (*sigh*).

Contacted the local Apple folks in the hope of getting a Genuine "genuine" battery, but they wouldn't sell me one unless they gave the phone a "service".

Bought a battery from iFixit (complete with warranty!) - cost about the same as just ONE of the batteries I've bought through our national auction site (that I've now thrown away). Installed it - problem solved.

Next time ... I'll just come straight to iFixit and save time & money!
