Hard drive cable replacement

Popped up the infamous file with a question mark on it, Thought it was the hard drive to begin with, but that didnt end up being the case

It went smooth! Well, other than the fact that i was able to pull files off onto my linux partition of my desktop. After that i had to run the linux command 'sudo chmod 777 'saved file path' to be able to pull files past permissions. :) installation was a breeze.

Mi Consejo

With this specific model, this problem is a huge issue, and apple will not recognize it. Its more common then i thought apparently. That is why you should do your research before you actually start messing around. It may look one way, but end up being a lot easier than you might have thought. In my case, it would have saved me a lot of time if i didnt wipe the HDD.
