I am wondering what the adhesive is that is used to stick the bezel back into the top display casing ? It was super hard to remove and I have tried 3m 300LSE ( clear looking double sided tape ) but its not really sticking.
I think Apple uses a 3M product but not sure what it is - please help as I would love to get a roll of it to have on hand for all repairs I do

Try 3M 9469 but you have to keep it under pressure for at least 24hrs... maybe that's the problem with the 300LSE - you're not giving it time enough to "set".

Thank you for the info - its hard though with an ipad to keep pressure on it for a 24 hour period -places locally advertise the " broken glass will be repaired while you wait under 30 minutes" type of thing. Id rather do it right than fast any day. I just don't see how those places do it so fast and plenty of paying customers are so happy and the screen doesn't fall off or look out of sorts under that speedy of a timeframe with the adhesives.
Currently i will place the adhesive where it needs to be peal off the backing so its exposed heat gun it for a few seconds to get it warmed up then adhere the bezel or digitizer panel to the device then heat up the digitizer panel around the edges for a little bit then run my hands around the edges of the ipad or device compressing it - it stays in place pretty good - but not like OEM Apple factory look and feel to it. So I guess id have to place the ipad face down on a flat surface then sit something on top of it to keep pressure on it over night ? Trying to get a solution that works gives the OEM feel quality - yet in quickest time possible.
