The temperature sensors on my MacBook Pro are broken and I've been told this requires the replacement of the entire Smart Board to be fixed.
Is it possible to replace the smart board myself?
Where would I be able to by a smart board compatible with my Mac?

There isn't a part called "Smart Board"
I'd assume they meant the Logic board. Your computer should have come with an Apple Hardware Test disc that may tell you what sensors are not working.
