iPod won't turn on after display assembly replacement

So I was fixing an iPod touch 4th generation display assembly and When I put it all back together, the screen was all white. It was recognized by itunes, however. Thinking it was just a mispositioned LCD cable, I unplugged the iPod from my computer (the battery was pretty low) and opened it up to re-position the LCD cable. So I did so and I believe the battery died. Now It does not seem like the device is getting any power. I tried different USB ports, cables, etc.

When the screen was white it did not seem like the power button was working; after it went to sleep i could only awake the screen using the home button.

Right now It's plugged in but does not seem to be getting power and is not being recognized by itunes.

It sounds like you may have torn the power button flex cable. Very easy to do on the repairs on these.

U may have to press it down more, mine did the same thing, keep re0assembling till it works...can take a few hours worth of tries. Plug it into the computer or listen for like a electrical "hum" near the tiny IC island thats located to the right volume control uttons where the logic board is laying. If theres a hum, there is power and just most likely may need an adjustment.
