Switch white keys with black MacBook Pro keys

Here's a bit of an odd question that every Apple guy with an OCD like sense for matching colors will understand…

I recently replaced my old wired keyboard/wired mighty mouse setup with a new wireless keyboard (1314) and the logitech G700 gaming mouse (because of the buttons for quick CAD tool access).

The problem is, it's black, the keyboard isn't so it just looks hideous next to each other. Before I bought it, I thought the solution would be quite simple as I have a broken (water damage) MBP case laying around, which has exactly the same layout.

So I started switching keys, fn, ctrl, option and command keys went fine, but once I got to the numbered keys, I discovered that they are very much not the same keys.

It appears that Apple does not want the user to be switching keys, because on the MBP, they're turned by 90°, so the hinge doesn't go top to bottom but left to right.

Is there any way I can switch the keys? Has anyone had any experience with it? I just refuse to accept this black/white/silver setup but don't want to change either device. The Apple keyboard just is the best one, and I've really grown to like the mouse, don't want the mighty or magic mouse.
