2 How do I update firmware on mac. App can't find serial port on mac.
So I just got the new iFixIt soldering Iron and am trying to update the firmware but soldering iron firmware app can't find my soldering, astensibly because it can't find the serial port connected to my macbook pro.
Not finding any usable help anywhere as third party apps to "Install" a serial port don't really seem to do that. Has anyone with a mac been able to update the soldering Iron firmware and if so I'd appreciate some help...

What is your MacBook Pro model? As well as the version of MacOS that would help. Are you using the MacOS Terminal App?

I am using a 16" macbook (2019) and am using the ver. 26.1 OS (Tahoe) I did use the terminal app to install the recommended software but I still can't connect the soldering iron controller.
