will not power up I have tried a external hard drive reader nothing

It will not power up so I removed it from the case and used an external Hard drive reader and it still won’t power up.

Is the drive an SSD or mechanical drive?

You say "an external hard drive reader".

Do you mean a SATA to USB adapter or case or what?

Will it support a "spinning" hard drive? They require more power. Some only support SSD's.

Also your hard drive may be dead.

It's likely dead. Drives do simply die at times.
