New remote. Same results. Help. The remote works for a series of events then nothing. Turning the tv on again sometime resets the remote and everything works fine. Turning off tv starts process all over again. New remote mirrors the old remote

Disconnect the power to the TV and then remove the back cover from the TV.
Locate the remote control sensor board (link only to show what it looks like. It's usually behind the remote sensor window on the front of the TV) and disconnect its cable at the mainboard end (probably easier at this end then at the sensor board end).
Reconnect the power to the TV and check if you can operate the TV OK using the TV's button controls.
If the TV works OK then it may be a faulty sensor board.
Be safety aware as there's exposed lethal AC power on the TV's power board. Disconnect the power to the TV before working in the back of the TV again
