I found a Wii console in the trash, it seems functional, the buttons light and the CD reader makes noise, but it does not give any image to the TV, i never opened it because I'm missing some tools, but honestly I don't even know what needs fixing.

It’s either damaged or modded. There is no way to tell from this. You need to either open it up or sell it as is. Edit: or not connected with a good display cable. Check the display port for signs of damage /corrosion with your phone torch.
