I'm rebuilding my Macbook after cracking the display.
Would it be possible to swap out the late 2006 logic board for a late 2007?
I'd like to have a 4gb memory system.
I've looked at some photos and the logic board looks similar.
Does anyone know if there would be problems with mounting or connectors if I installed a late 2007 Macbook logic board in my late 2006.

If you need a 4gb ram compatible logic board I don't think you'll have the choice to swap your 1181/667mhz logic board for the 1181/800mhz logic board so you may need to replace:

should fit the 800mhz configuration.

Yep you're right. It will take the 3 walls cable connectors.

My advice is to repair your broken Macbook then sell it and buy a used 1181 2.13ghz machine (MC240LL/A) with the 1066mhz bus / 6gb ram and the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphic card.

If you stay within the same model number (as found on the back of your case) you should have little problem. To make sure, it would help if we knew your exact machine. Please give us the last three figures of your serial number.

What are the last 3 characters of your serial number from the 2006? What is the model number of the 2007 board. To casually look at A1181 motherboards to many there may appear to be only 2 versions - one with the curved heatsink and one with the straight heatsink. Mayer has given you the best possible answer at this point, without more information from you.
