Proximity sensor damaged with screen, can't find a replacement
Just got in a 12.9 6th gen with a pretty badly cracked screen. The face id ribbon was damaged on one of the branching sensors. And I can't find a replacement for sale on any part vendors sites, or ebay. Am I SOL? Or is a half working prox sensor still good to at least function, with out face ID?

From sheer luck, we had a prox sensor on a 3rd gen break too and need to be replaced. And the connectors and lay out of the sensor look identical. I will update this with an answer if it seems like the replacement part works.
