Preguntas 708 Ver todo

Switch is not turning on. It's not the battery, dock or chord.

I was playing the latest Pokémon entry, and upon undocking my switch, the screen reloaded into an error which only displayed its serial number and instructions to forcefully power it off.

I tried to make it do anything else, but after giving up, I followed up the instructions, keeping the power button pressed for 12 seconds (It actually was 15).

Now, the switch is not turning on. I tried waiting, setting it charging, both on the dock and the wall, any combination of components (or lack of them), pressing it long or short times. Nothing happens.

Original switch dock's light does a thing not even OLED's does, when I place it in, the power light flickers for an instant. Nothing else.

I tried another switch with the same combinations, and they all work. The problem is clearly on the device.

I also tried one of these chords that tell you the voltage and amperage. Voltage is stable between 5.02 and 5.04, and I get a static 0.5 on amps, it doesn't change.

What piece do I have to replace to get it fixed? (Or please tell me any tests I can try. I got the right screwdriver, a multimeter and a soldering iron)

I finally took it to a repairshop to see if they can even find out the cause.

They gave up on it, as the diagnosis I got was, "a short circuit in a bus between the port and the CPU"

The repaishop AND nintendo gave up before trying (They both told me they did).

But there's tons of videos in youtube fixing this kind of stuff, so due to the lack of people daring to try,

So I am on this site looking for leads so I can fix it.

Hi Myenemy,

I found this article on Nintendo's support site:

https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com...

It sounds like you have performed some of the items the article suggests. Anyway give it a look and let me know if this works for you.

Good luck!
