Amana, top loading washing machine. why isn't bleach being dispensed?

Got an Amana, top loading washing machine. The bleach was coming out of the dispenser but stopped. I've added more bleach to the dispenser a couple of other times, for other loads, but it didn't work then either. I'm not going to put any more bleach into the reservoir. But why isn't the bleach being dispensed?
