It will start but it won't go forward or backward when shifted.

My Power Pro 12 horsepower IC riding lawn mower will not go forward or backward when shifting into gear. It will start and if it's a neutral I can roll it but when I put it into drive a reverse it won't move. Please help

@melissajoh96231 first thing to check would be your drive belt since you can roll it. This should help with that

The drive belt seems fine. It's not broken and it seems like it fits like it's supposed to.

@melissajoh96231 when your engine runs is your drive pulley moving? Have you tighten the idler pulley? Does your rear pulley, the one on the drive axle, rotate? WATCH YOUR HANDS AND FACE IF YOU NEED TO GET TO CLOSE TO IT. DO NOT GET HACKED UP BY THOSE BELTS ETC.
