Replacement keyboard from MacBook Air A1369

I was wondering my mid-2012 MacBook Air A1466 keyboard does work and I was wondering if I can fix it with a keyboard for a MacBook Air A1369? Just wondering if two different model are interchangeable for the keyboard to fit.

There are a few different issues you face. If the system a North American or a European system? And if European you have a few possible key caps with different language symbols.

Ok so let’s assume you have a North American system then you need the proper keyboard for your system as each series have different setups. Here’s the correct part MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2011-Early 2015) Keyboard. Sadly the older late 2010 keyboard won’t work here.

Its a fair amount work as you need to strip the system down quite far. So be prepared!

It’s an American keyboard that is a 13” A1369 keyboard. So that will work then?

@jordanchapman - Not if it’s a 2010 model

So if it was a 2011 model then it will work?

@jordanchapman - I don’t remember if the 2011 models used screws. I think this was the first series to use rivets. So if it has the rivets then you end up destroying the keyboard taking it out.

I would check things before going to far.

If everything seems right then it’s alright to install it then?
