2 HDMI Light Blinks, Doesn't Function Otherwise
We inherited this receiver free, and when we plug it in, all that happens is that the HDMI light blinks continuously. Nothing seems to resolve that issue (plugging in AV equipment, resetting the error code). I opened it up to see if there is any visual damage and see nothing. I don't have much electrical expertise at all, but I do have a multimeter and a soldering iron and am game to repair this. Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot or identify the issue?

Yes that's correct.

@charles96278 see if you can clear the error by simultaneously pressing “Advanced Surround” and “Standby/on” for 5 seconds

Thanks @oldturkey03. I have tried that already. When I do that, it for a brief moment clears it, but the problem persists.

@charles96278 okay so we know it is an ongoing /recurring error. Everything hooked up properly (according to the user manual)? In that case, time to go an look for damaged components etc. The flashing HDMI is so generic that it will be a challenge and there are no schematics for this model either. More challenges :-)
Post some really good pictures of the boards components etc. with your QUESTION. Look for charred, missing or other odd looking components.
