Water damaged MacBook Pro solution

If my MacBook pro is water damaged, and it doesn't turn on could it be because the logic board is damaged, if not what else could be the cause?

an all round answer? depends how much water, where and when. It may be that power supply has shorted, batteries hate water, the display is dead and you think nothing's happening. I'd try opening and inspecting and cleaning the relevant parts, testing battery, AC input etc. Try to be systematic.. check you have a working power supply to a working battery, then look at the board.

I am having a similar problem right now (as in, right this very minute). I replaced the logic board on my Late '08 MBP and I thought it wasn't booting. I heard boot noises, optical drive came to life, the WALL-E sound, etc., but it just hung there.

It turns out the backlight is inoperative. I'm not going to say kaput, but it's not working. I would look real close at the screen to see if there's any attempt at an image. Take a flashlight and shine it at an angle from your viewing direction. It may be as simple as that.

Of course, and this is a standard generic canned answer, with water damage, who knows what's the matter?
