What do I need to replace when having touch screen issue?

I cleaned the screen and everything but the touch screen still isnt responding. I wanted to know what part should I replace? The digitizer or the touch screen itself?

I'm pretty sure they're the same piece. You might be thinking of the lcd, but if your only problem is the touch, you should be fine just replacing the digitizer/touchscreen
