Size of all the screws used?

I am trying to replace some stripped screws, I live in the UK so I need the correct dimensions for the Exterior, the Pak port screws and the Joystick screws and if possible the screw for the joystick itself that keeps the spring down. I cannot find any of this information online, I have tried to measure screws myself but I am not understanding exactly how to search the results to find what I need. These screws seem to be very easy to come by as someone is selling 50 piece packs of them although this person is based in America and I cannot justify the shipping costs. Please if anyone could measure these who has actual knowledge of how to do that, it would be really helpful.

  3. Joystick screws: M1.6 x 6mm (machine screw) These screws are used to hold the joystick mechanism in place on the inside of the controller. They are machine screws with a diameter of 1.6mm and a length of 6mm.
  4. Screw for the joystick spring: M1.4 x 4mm (machine screw) This screw is used to hold the spring in place on the joystick mechanism. It is a machine screw with a diameter of 1.4mm and a length of 4mm.

Thank you for the detailed response, I've taken your word on this and ordered some replacements of the ones most crucial that I need. I'll keep in mind about double checking measurements, the ones I've ordered weren't expensive so I'll find out if its the solution.

Jelly Bean man's answer does not follow the standard screw callout format and has incorrect information even in the "corrected" edit.

You do not use the overall length when giving a screw size, you only use the threaded portion as the length. You also do not give the length after the major diameter, the number after the first x is the thread pitch.

The standard format for a metric screw callout is:

major diameter x thread pitch x threaded length

The screw sizes are as follows (units are mm):

  • Exterior screws: M2.5 x 1.12 x 8
  • Pak port screws: M2 x 0.89 x 8
  • Joystick screws: M2 x 0.89 x 6

Thanks for the correction, but the op comment showed the size for the single screw that holds the joystick spring, I wanted to know the accurate measurement for that but in you correction it isn't stated that. Could you tell me?
