2 keys not working after resoldering on split keyboard
Hello. I have a split keyboard with RGB. I was trying to change my key switches to cherry MX Brown switches. Since its not Hot swappable type of keyboard. Soldering was needed. I tried soldering myself. Thought I did everything correctly but when I plugged my keyboard. Everything was mostly working except 2 keys wouldn't work. (space bar on right side and shift key on the left of the keyboard
Not sure what I did but do you believe I may have damaged some components in the PCB / Board.? Any advice on what to do? Is it just damaged and I need to throw it away?
****** ''''Re-Soldering
Heres an image of my resoldering. Some areas of the board has some copper visible but those keys still work
Desoldering
Here's how it looked when I de-soldered.
Mind you I must of desoldered this board like 3 times cause I thought it could be the solder.. I purchased this keyboard already fully assembled but I wanted to change my key switches to another brand.. Since its not hot-swappable I had to desolder. Was my first time ever desoldering. Not sure if they used leaded or un-leaded solder but I used a unleaded solder and an automatic desoldering gun.
I had the opening of the tip from the desoldering gun inside the pin and held the gun down touching pin and board for about 6-7 seconds on each switch until I saw it melted the original. Not sure if Im waiting too long but thats the only way would melt for me. Guessing the gun is not super hot enough
Even after resoldering / desoldering about 3 times, it was always the space bar button on one of the right keyboard that would not work. Every other button on the right keyboard worked fine and the RGB lights all lit up//
Question about desoldering: Are you supposed to cover up the entire pin with solder.. or only a little until it grabs the board?
Es esta una buena pregunta?

Posting pics of your soldering would help as we can't see what's been done.
