Gary wheeler which model is this and what have you checked? Do you have sound? In a darkened room and the TV turned on to a channel that has sound, shine a flashlight at an angle against the screen. If you can make out shapes or silhouettes it is most likely your backlight strips that have failed.

It’s the backlight bulb, they tend to burn out. I found a tv repair guy change out the bulb for $200. Works good now. Took him 45 mins to change it out. He said in the setting make sure backlight isn’t set on high. They will burn out quicker. Hope this helps.. Nick
