Why does my 7.2 serround system doesn’t work?

I have a problem with my pioneer receiver (vsx 922-k)

Recently I’ve connected the last open slots for (B) front wide L/R so basically all speakers should work if you change the speaker setting to front wide small instead of no. And change it in the settings ofc. Then run the MCACC… strangely tho, now there is an extra serround setting that activates the front L/R but then the back L/R stops, and the other way around. I can’t seem to instal it to just get the 7.2 serround fully working, it’s or center, L/R, FW L/R, serround L/R. Or center, L/R, serround L/R, Serround back L/R. Not everything….

What did I miss???

Hi,

Don't know the receiver but this setup page for the receiver, shows that it is not possible to produce sound simultaneously:

[A] 7.2 channel surround system (Front height) from the front height speakers and the surround back speakers

or

[B] 7.2 channel surround system (Front wide) from the front wide speakers and the surround back speakers.

if this is what you're trying to do.

Hey, I appreciate ur response.

The options on my receiver are pretty large, the Manuel tells a lot about different versions for the 7.2 signal, serround A and B like you mentioned but u can activate them both
