Hi Gobi,
The good news is, yes you can switch it out, and as it turns out, it's actually fairly easy to do on your phone!
There's a small circuit board that holds the headphone jack and charging port that's cheap and easy to replace. Here's the part you need; this one is on AliExpress, but you can find it on eBay, Amazon and several other parts suppliers.
Of course, you'll need instructions on how to swap out that part, and YouTube has you covered.

worked great. Make sure to remove the SDcard / SIM first.

I am having trouble with network connection (not WIFI or bluetooth) since changing the usb circuit board. The signal is generally very bad. It is always at just a couple of bars even in cities.
Could it be badly isolated and create interference?
Is there another version I could try?
@gobit make sure the antenna flex is seated correctly on both boards. If they click in place they are connected properly.
