On my 27" Apple Cinema Display, the screen is blank but if I hold a light up to the screen and I can see the background image. What need to be replaced/fixed? And do you have the part?

armcomdes that means your backlight has failed. You would have to disassemble it and check to see if you have appropriate power on the connector. If yes you know it is the backlight inside the panel that has failed. If not then you will have to check the backlight circuit on your logic board. Come to think about it, the data cable has been stretched taut for a while now. So I'll check the attachment points inside first. It is an A1316. It went black. After some fiddling it came back on but 80% brightness. I couldn't find where to adjust brightness. The next day it went black again, this time I think for good (still could see the background with a flashlight). Haven't opened the display up yet. I was info loading beforehand to get an idea of what to look for, or if it was a lost cause. It is one of two displays in my setup so I am still functioning, but I would love to fix it. Thanks you for the suggestions.
