1 Why is my screen not black but sound works properly
Tv sound is working as should, but screen is black, if I leave tv on with black screen for a few days it will gradually begin turning a reddish color with black spots all over, but only in blotches, whole screen has never fully turned this reddish color. If I turn off tv for a few minutes screen will black out all over again. Also, if I hold a blow dryer toward the black TV screen for a certain period of time that area will begin slowly turning this reddish color I've mentioned. Can y'all help me out with this or do I need to throw the piece of junk away?

It could either be that the screen itself is damaged, or the motherboard has a damaged component. Although I'd like to see an image of the device before I can make that call.

Maybe it's a backlight issue. My LG 2015 55" Smart TV worked until 2021 when the backlight stopped working but the sound was fine. If it is a backlight issue, it is fixable, but with a risk of electric shock. What I did is bought a new Vizio TV
