2g touchscreen not responding

Are the 2G iPhone and the iPhone 1st Generation the same? This link calls it 1st Gen ( http://www.ifixit.com/Answers/Ask/iPhone... ). In any case, I believe I have a 2g, and the touch screen does not respond to touch. I understand that the digitizer and screen are 2 in 1 and that I need the complete part(s) but do not see it on your site, nor the blue prying tools. Can you and me the link to the tools? I saw them yesterday for $2.95 or so.

Thanks. The problem this 2g is that the touchscreen did not respond to touch ( now wont turn on at all). I read omewhere within this site that the connector might be loose. I tookit all apart, and as soon as one of the cable loosen up, the screen went off. Mind that I could not turn it off due to the screen not responding, or sliding off. It was a fustrating to take apart, so I'll try once more and see if in fact reconnecting everything will fix it, otherwise, it may be just worth recycling. Thanks again.
