Phone does not read NFC Tags after replacing NFC flex

Got an iPhone X that doesn’t want to recognise NFC Tags at all. I’m using an Ntag215 tag and it usually works during testing.

However with this phone it wasn’t working as usual so I have replaced the NFC Clip/flex but the issue is still persisting! I have carried out the same repair before and not had issues afterwards.

Could it be just bad luck with the part? A deeper issue with the board perhaps?
