I tried to replace the C Stick without removing the battery

After checking some mod hacks with the PSP caps I tried to fix my 2DS XL, hideous C Stick but I only had a bunch of screwdrivers and when I got to the glued battery I couldn't remove it that easily fearing i might break something. so I thought since I only need to release the motherboard just enough to reach the c stick maybe I don't need to remove all the parts. So I unscrewed it and managed to replace the C stick but after that it didn't turned on again and didn't seem to receive power when I plug it. I'm a little quite too much nervous.
