Battery of ifixit for MacBook Pro Retina 2014 A1398 Service Battery!

The new replacement battery quickly drops to 7% and stays there, and lost 19% its capacity just with 13 cycles went down and now it says Service Battery!!!

So I got my replacement battery from iFixit. The battery drain seemed fine from 100 down to about 50 % and then suddenly made a quick drop down to 7%. The weird thing was that I could keep using it for a couple of hours even though the percentage was slowly dropping. It stayed at 7% for a really long time. I watched 45 minutes of live football, did a little bit of web browsing, watched some youtube, and worked in photoshop for a little while. All of this from 7% down to 2% when it entered sleep mode.

Also, the battery lost 18% of its capacity only in 13 times charging!!!!

After 23 cycles the battery went bad and says Service Battery!

What can I do now? I have the serial number of the battery and also the name of the factory.

Update (09/22/2021)

They told me :

Hello,

Thank you for providing that information! After doing some digging into the order itself it loos like this was sold by a third party and appears to be a fake iFixit product, as such, we are unable to provide support for it. However, if the original eBay seller can provide proof that this is a genuine iFixit battery, then we can provide support for it. If you need anything else, please let us know.

Regards,

@armin1 - I would contact the iFixit store to see if you can get a replacement, point to this question in your message.

Contact iFixit Customer Support

I just sent an email to them, wait to see what we will do for me!

Then told me I need to send them invoices and that stuff which I did. Let's see what we will do for me.

@armin1 - Sadly there is a lot of fakery going on!

I can tell you if it was a real iFixit battery sold to you directly by iFixit they would have replaced it.

If someone else sold you the battery as an iFixit battery you'll need to go to them for the warranty. Without traceability most small companies can't cover the costs of someones efforts to resell batteries.

Take a few pics of the battery and its labels to see if that helps. The fact the firmware reports iFixit should have made the difference. Did you point to your question here?

I would try again with the physical pics and link to this question.
