Chromebook wants a recovery but won't recover

When I try to recover the chromebook it will either just go black or will recover but then it wants another recovery and when I try to recover it again the screen goes black

Did you create a recovery usb using another computer? It is likely that the version or model of chrome book doesn't match.

No it's the same and it takes 5 mins of blackness for it to get to the recovery screen
