TouchID not scanning finger (no "unable to activate error")
Hi guys!
I have recently replaced my iPhone 7's battery, while disassembling the phone I also managed to break the screen. (but the cables were not damaged while doing that, screen still works fine)
To fix the cracked screen, I've ordered a brand new screen for the device, now waiting for it to arrive.
But the problem is that the TouchID sensor won't scan for my finger (it's enabled, but not scanning, there's no "unable to activate TouchID" error), home button works, double tapping on the home button brings that "one handed mode" up too.
Do you guys think that I've possibly damaged the connector where the home button gets attached to? The home button flex itself seems to be not damaged at all, not even a slight damage.
Everything else seems to be working fine, it's good to mention that the device is overheating as well!
The device is really important for me. It's having pictures/videos of our family and more.
Is there any possibility to fix that?
Thanks in advance.
