HELP! My Toshiba laptop won't boot and beeps constantly.

Okay I'm having the same problem with the ‘check cable connection no bootable device insert boot disk and press any key’ (bla bla bla)

I have done a lot of reading on the internet about what the problem could possibly be and the biggest problem I'm having is when I power off and then power back on and immediately I will start hitting F12 for boot utility (I've also tried f2 for setup utility), and yes I've tried all of the tricks which includes holding down the button the entire time, pressing it so many times that it's not even funny and also just pressing the key once, none of them worked it took me straight to the screen that says “no bootable…… “

It's a Toshiba Satellite L755 - s5361

I'm assuming that the hard drive is fried… but I'm not sure how to tell exactly especially since I can't get into any of my utilities.
