Unable to find a front glass panel replacement for iMac late 2015
Will the iMac Intel 27" EMC 2309, 2374, 2390 or 2429 Glass Panel fit in my iMac EMC 2834?

Sadly the cover glass uses in the older split design used in these series won’t fit or work properly in the newer ‘Thin Series’ from 2012 onward. The Thin Series uses adhesive over magnets to secure the full display assembly vs the cover only. Basically, the design is very different!
Then you still have the other problem as the cover glass is glued to the display unit with messy foam tape in your system and finding the correct glass will require you to locate a bad display assembly which has a good cover glass strip it off and do the same on your display swapping them over. While that sounds simple it’s not, and in the process you could damage the display its self.
Bottomline: Given the work to find, clean and swap you might as well just replace the full assembly as it will be much quicker and cheaper time and likely cost wise in the end.

I have a small crack across the screen. I am not ready to spend $550 on a new display.... OH well!

@alejandropiris - Its mostly for others to refer to as EMC numbers are less referenced than the systems year. In your case its the difference in the designs of the older magnetic attached cover glass Vs the sealed assembly Apple now uses and glued on assembly.
