Preguntas 60 Ver todo

The games on my laptop are very slow.

I have a RTX 2060 with 16gb RAM and an I5-9300H and the games don’t feel good at all to play. I tried FIFA21 and I have a strange lag. It looks like I only have about 20fps. Then, I tried Fortnite and Warzone, which went really bad. I do not understand which is the probem. I found a video on YT and on the same platform, the same games were looking very, very good. I have also changed the nvidia settings to high performance and all that stuff but still as before. Is there somebody who can help me with this problem? Thank you in advance.

Open Task Manager then the performance tab. Check your GPU/CPU/Memory/Disk usage both in/out of game. 16GB of RAM should be plenty but if you have have lots of background services (or malware!) you may run into issues. Also it's worth checking your disk drive for errors (since games sit there). Use command prompt and run chkdsk or just search for disk management. Check your drivers. Try CCleaner, AVG Tune-up, Malwarebytes. I highly recommend turning on FPS graphs during gameplay. Good luck. And don't change a million settings. Just drink some coffee and run diagnostic tests/Google till your eyes catch something in the context menus

I had a similar gaming rig in the past, but a desktop. `But it might work. Here’s some things that worked randomly in my cases when similar stuff happened. Turn it off and on……. Just kidding. BIOS reset by removing the CMOS battery on the board, if your laptop is easy to get to the board, leave it out for like 5 mins. Cut all power while doing so (yes, disconnect the battery). Check the clock speeds on your GPU with MSI afterburner software. If the clock speeds are in the hundreds then you have a problem, Like when I used to own a laptop, it meant wiping the entire drive and that helped. If so then at least try to do system restore.

Let me Know if at least the BIOS reset helped.

I just solved this problem by updating the graphics driver on my Acer Nitro 5

I have the model with a 3060RTX and Ryzen 7 5800H, and all I had to do was just update the graphics driver using GeForce Experience. Hope this works for you
