Can i transport and use mac os 9.0 startup info from an existing unit running same

OS 9 wont boot a iBook G4. It works only in Classic mode on this machine. Mayer, your procedure will work if the OP has OSX installed in his iBook G4 then he can use the firewire target mode to copy is OS 9 folder to the other machine or he can use an external USB or firewire drive, a USB key, or burn a CD/DVD to make the copy by simply dragging the OS 9 folder to other media but again it will not be a "startup" system if installed on a iBook G4 or on a more recent Mac (well I think...)

If I understand your question, you want to move system 9 from one computer to another. Connect the two via firewire, start one up the regular way then start the other holding down the "T" key (this will be the firewire drive. Now drag the system from one to the other. You may have to "bless" the system once it has been moved and I've forgotten how.

teach, you really need to stay on one question and follow through with it, rather than opening question after question.
