Why are both (new and old) screens not working after replacement?

So I replaced the screen on my Iphone XR. Removed the screen, some screws, here and there. Tested my old screen before removing from the sockets. After a while, I tried to test my newly bought screen on the board, but nothing shows up. I then reconnected my old screen back to test once again and to my surprise, nothing shows up too.

Is this a trouble on the board itself? Perhaps the sockets? I see no abnormality on the socket pins or anything bent.

Make sure that the battery remains unplugged when connecting or removing the display connectors for a screen, and that you plug the battery in after all of the display connectors are down and secured by the shield.

After this the screen should power on provided the device has a functional battery/charging port and you may need to plug in the device before it’ll come to life. Don’t be scared to just hold down that power button as sometimes I’ve found it will only turn on after holding the power/wake button for 15+ seconds.
