Right joycon's zr button is still non functioning after replacement,

Right joycon's zr button is still non functioning after replacement, I'm sure it's not a stuck or fallen through button as both the original and the replacement still click. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the main pcb or the extremerate led mod I installed though I doubt the last one as the zr flex is attached directly to the board and the two don't seem to have anything to do with each other. BTW all other functions of the right joy con work (buttons, rumble , bluetooth, etc.)
