Backlight problems everything replaced and still not working

I just replaced everything in my MacBook Pro display because my dog juniors on my bed and broke the screen. By everything I mean the led screen, led board, and display cable I can see the image but the backlight will not turn on. When I was replacing the screen I fiddled around with the display cable and it burnt into the plastic that surrounds the cable. But I was wondering what else there is to replace? I need my laptop for school please help!

Sounds like you need to replace the inverter cable. It's most commonly the item that needs to be replaced in the case of a dead backlight, especially since you've replaced the screen already, which is the other possibility.

Have you tried connecting the video to an external monitor? I suspect it will work, since you mentioned the backlight is dead and I assume you see a faint image, but it still may be worth a try. If external video works fine, that confirms almost 100% that it's just the inverter cable.

By led board do you mean the inverter?

Hopefully the display cable burning issue didn't cause damage.

I replaced the inverter cable and i know i probably fried the inverter circuitry on the logic board what can i do? Can i get it repaired or will i need a new logic board do you know where i can get one for a good price?

You probably toasted the inverter board or the microfuse that protects the inverter circuitry on the logic board. If a new inverter board and inverter cable don't restore your screen lightning then I'm afraid that you'll have to replace the logic board. Always disconnect the ac adapter and the battery when working inside a machine.

I know you're probably not equipped to do so but your display should be tested on a known working logic board to be sure it's working properly. If so then the inverter circuitry on the logic board is toasted and that means a logic board replacement. A skilled tech could try to locate the inverter circuitry microfuse that's blown and replace it but other components in the circuit could also be affected by the short.
