Are there any error codes being displayed at all along with the flashing light?
The “snowflake” light indicates that the rinse aid needs to be refilled, although the user manual doesn’t specify whether it is blinking or is on steady when there is no rinse aid left.
It is not mentioned as an error indicator in the service manual as the error codes are displayed on the screen
Here’s a link that shows how to run diagnostic tests (use LDS5040, LDS4921 series test method) that may help to show what is wrong with the machine if replenishing the rinse aid doesn’t solve the problem

I have a lg model LDF8874ST with the snowflake flashing when I power on and select any function.
Did you refill the rinse aid dispenser and check if this resolved the problem, you didn't say?
The "snowflake" light indicates that the rinse aid is low and needs to be refilled.
Here's a not very good copy of the user manual that shows how to fill the dispenser and also, if necessary, how to adjust the amount of rinse aid that is being dispensed. Go to p.22 in the manual.
Jayeff thank you so much for helping me with my problem. I did not know what to do with the snowflake symbol on the dishwasher I added the liquid in to the rinse container and now the dishwasher is working thank you thank you thank you

I am having the same problem but I have filled the liquid and it still flashes and won’t reset. I have turned off the power a few times and still won’t stop blinking. Any ideas?
