The Verizon CDMA iPhone 4 LCD Display assembly should work on a 4S with one minor modification. I have yet to actually test this but I'm 95% sure it works.

I have come up with a way to "modify" the clips. I used a Dremel to cut one of the clips off. I practiced on some broken AT&T ones from previous repairs.

[The Dremel bit I used](http://i.imgur.com/wmWRZ.jpg)

[Cutting ALMOST completely through the clip](http://i.imgur.com/soBE9.jpg)

[Bending clip back and forth until it comes off](http://i.imgur.com/QuXwe.jpg)

As it should be fairly obvious, and I cannot stress this enough, BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH THE DREMEL The clip rests right against the LCD and if you even so much as nick the the LCD it's going to be toast.

Assuming that the iPhone 4S uses the CDMA (Verizon) iPhone 4 top glass assembly as others have stated, this should make it a perfect fit once you cut that clip. There are 9 other points to screw into the frame even after the removal of the one so it should be more than sufficient to not cause any problems.

If I get any more calls to repair a 4S, I will come back here and update when I know for sure. Until then, Good Luck All :)

I can difinitively say that YES the CDMA Verizon iPhone 4 top glass assembly works with the 4S. By cutting off the very middle tab (looking on the back side of the replacement part on the left) the screen fits perfectly. One other corner tab (top right I believe) cannot be screwed in because the hole is too small. You can drill it out to make it bigger. The connectors and connector placements fit like a glove. I have personally done this and can tell you it works. Hope this helps somebody with their repairs. Good luck!

So, yes it is but with some heavy modification?

I would not waste my time trying to cut on a perfectly good lcd when you can change the frame around the glass with the one off the phone you are fixing in less than 5 mins. Run your thumb around the lip of the frame and remove it .Sounds a little risky to me to put a dremel on a lcd.

Works great but know where you get your parts from, don't trust the 4g 4s front digitizer ONLY SCAM.. Too many clients buying just the digitizer and Not the Fused Part.

The glass/lcd assembly are exactly the same for the iphone 4 and 4S, the only difference is the plastic frame around the assembly. You could just take the frame off the old assembly and put it on the new one or just buy one off ebay for about $5

Hey tharon,

Probably it's possible, but I would recommend you to just don't do that.

There is not any major difference apart from the plastic side frame. You can change the side frame easily by taking it apart because its being hold by a adhesive tape then you can put your old LCD`s frame back to make it fit in 4g.
