How to repair my backlight led

So my tv's backlight stopped working and when I checked the backlight LED strip, I saw that it used a 310mm long strip with 56 LEDs; four sets of 14 LEDS, running in parallel at 12V(I think). Since, it's an old tv and the replacement strip is nowhere to be found online, I was wondering if I can use one of those universal CCFL to LED conversion kits like this; https://www.ebay.com/itm/353141213143

and then just take the led strip; ignoring the driver board and just solder it to the 12v and ground of my tv's led strip connector and cut off the other 3 parallel circuits. Would this work? As I know nothing will be controlling the brightness of the led strip except the voltage. But it is an edge lit display so again, don’t know if that will be an issue

Note; I also measured the power source of the leds on my tv's power board and at the strip's input connecter and I got 12v output, so I think that board is good however what is weird is I'm not sure where the problem is exactly, as all 56 leds do work when I test them in pairs with my multi meter just not with the tv's full 12V.

@caviator are you saying that the original LED strips from your TV work if you connect them to an individual power source? If so it is not your strips that are causing your backlight failure. Check the interconnect of the array as well as the individual wiring. Yes, you could use something like the ebay strip but will have to be positioning them correctly so as not to get any weird shadows. BTW, let us know what happens if you connect your strips to the power board individually. Let us know if they turn on when you power on your TV.

So I did a dumb thing but it has me more confused, I thought that there may be an issue with the ground or the negative leads, so in one of the images above which shows the 5 wires; 1 red and 4 white. I took out the 4 white wires (negative wires) from the connecter and when I hold any of the 4 white wires with my bare hands while being grounded like barefoot on the ground, that backlight section on the strip lights up, dim but it lights up and once I lift my feet off the ground, the strip goes out. So I'm so confused right now, as I'm not sure what this means

With respect to what you said to try, when I connect a few to a 9v battery, none lights up but when I'm in diode mode on my multimeter, every 2 leds light up on the strip
