Display digitiser touch not working once battery reaches 50%
When the battery level reaches about 50% the touch of the digitiser stops working…

Sounds like the problem is more with the digitizer than the battery. Just a couple of questions:
Did both problems showed up at the same time or separate?
About how long have you had the problem?
How long have you had the phone for?
