on all afternoon with no problem but then turns white or black

Tv was on all afternoon with no problem but then turns white or black , and remote doesn’t work! As there are NO buttons on the tv I have to turn off at wall ! Why is this happening so randomly ? When I switch back on at wall tv turns back on automatically and works fine again with remote ! TCL tv
