Touch ID works but home button click function does not.

I bought an old iPhone 6 for 15 euro from my friend which was in desperate need of a replacement battery and a new home button. I replaced the battery no problem. The original home button did not respond to any clicks but the double-tap for one-handed mode did work and so did the Touch ID. Is there any way to take the working Touch ID sensor from the old button and attaching a new clicky part (no idea how its called - sorry for that) to it? Thanks in advance.
