What does this part do. If I don't put on the new screen the camera and earpiece fits snug. However, I do add it nothing fits perfectly. Do I need to put it and know I should but it makes it not fit well.
If you can't see it please tell me.

That looks like the earpiece speaker mesh.
If you don’t install it, dust is going into the phone like crazy. Since repaired phones are not going to have water resistance anyway, the water resistant part actually didn’t matter.

So it does not really matter if I put it on since the phone won't have water and dust resistance l.

The replacement screen you are installing probably already has that piece. Can you take pictures of the new screen you are trying to install?

Hey,
I updated it and it show the picture of the screen. The screen came in like this.
Ok. Well the new screen does not appear to have that earpiece screen piece, part of the earpiece screen fits in that open slit and the screw hole should along with the screen of the phone. Sorry that might be a bit confusing to follow.
