SSD Data Recovery - Which Adapter and Cable?
My MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015) Model No. A1466 has died. Not powering up. Tried everything but no luck.
Is there a cable and adapter which can help me recover my data from the SSD?
I need to find out the exact name of the cable and adapter that I can buy in India. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Dan, thanks for the link to the product info. The SSD in my MacBook Air is this one -
Would that product surely be able to read the files from the SSD?

@danj Its quite an unknown wildlife sanctuary by the name of Mount Abu wildlife sanctuary. Great for spotting Sloth Bears, Leopards and some rare birds. Not so great for fixing MacBooks :) If you were around Delhi, you might have visited Corbett National Park perhaps.
So I tried what you suggested Dan. Disconnected the battery, took out the SSD, attached a USB drive and tried to power it on. The light of the USB drive turned on when I press the power button on the MBA, but no blinking question mark on the screen. Nothing. Simply refuses to power on. Any other steps I could try to attempt to identify the problem?
Es esta una buena pregunta?

Sadly, you've proved your logic board has a failure.

@danj I see. I guess getting the logic board repaired or fixed must cost quite a lot. Might be better off making a new purchase. What would the usual reasons for a logic board failure be? There has no physical damage and I have always handled the MBA quite carefully.
One other thing I noticed is each time I connect the power cable and attempt to power it up (irrespective of it being connected or disconnected to the battery) the fan starts but turns off after 5-6 seconds.

A common issue is the charging logic gets damaged using knockoff chargers!

In rural areas we also run into power issues lightning strikes and surges. This is where a good surge suppressor is important or better yet a UPS!

@danj I have never used cheap knockoff chargers and have always charged the MBA with the original charger that it came with. What you say about power issues and surges could be a factor. Power fluctuation is a common occurrence and on a couple of occasions been quite bad while the MBA has been charging. Perhaps that could have done damage to the logic board.
Thanks for your help so far Dan. Hoping for the best once the OWC Envoy Pro device arrives to recover my data. Fingers crossed.
