Black stuff scratched inside screen, how to fix?
Hey iFixIt community,
Just got done with the long and tedious process of repairing an iPod Touch 4th generation. Unfortunately before putting the screen back on I accidentally scratched the black graphite-paint near the home button. Now there's a clear scratch under the screen that looks terrible. How do I fix this without getting another 50 buck screen? Should I scrape some of the black paint off the old digitizer and put it on the new? Please help!!
Es esta una buena pregunta?

That's a great idea. I actually used black craft paint and it worked flawlessly. I'll have to use a sharpie if this problem ever comes up again.

I found that using a Sharpie Paint Pen works beautifully. NOT the Sharpie permanent marker, but the new Sharpie Paint Pen. You shake the pen, and press down on the tip to load the paint first, then gently dab the scratch area on the underside of the glass. Let it dry for several hours before reassembling your phone/tablet. Don't apply on the outside or it will show. The pens also come in white and a bunch of other colors so you can touch up the white or colored screens too.
